Why criminology?

Criminology

Criminology is an essential field for understanding the unconscious dimensions of acting out and the psychic mechanisms that underpin transgressive conduct.

Far from a purely legal or sociological approach to crime, psychoanalytic criminology asks what, in the structure of the subject, makes transgression possible — or necessary.

A specialised diploma (Université Paris 8) allows me to work with patients facing judicial issues or acting-out, and to explore with any analysand the shadow zones of our relation to the law, the superego and the fundamental prohibition.
